i have a video of a pair in a crx in a shitty sealed box on 400 rms on roe, DESTROYING THAT CAR.

Great budget subs, havent heard the new models though

I wouldnt bother with them...spend more money the first time and you wont spend more down the road on repairs. MTX has some good low priced drivers, and alpine type Rs are in the price range too.

Do you guys think I should get JL's? I keep hearing they're the best? What is it about an L7 I keep hearing something about. Everybody keeps saying a JL L7 is the best.

JL is NOT the best. Yes they make some of the most expensive woofers, and they do have some nice technology behind them, but you can get better for the money, you're paying for the name brand.

Second off, JL doesn't make the L7. Kicker makes the SoloBaric L7 woofer, it's the square one.

The kicker L7's will get crazy loud but they have kinda mediocre sound quality at best.

The JL line of subwoofers are more SQ oriented and are a little more pleasing to the ear. The JL W7 (not L7) is a pretty big beast, it'll get crazy loud and sound good doing it, but you're going to pay out the *** for it. Expect to spend 400 bucks for a 12 W7. (Depends on where and who you buy it from or new or used)

i have had the older ma subs and they were good bang for the buck sub for sure but i saw some of their newer ones and they dont look so well and seems the power ratings went down from the same models as the older ones also.
