Bridging Problem

Ok, Here is the scoop. I'm posting this for my homeboy because he or I cant figure out the problem, and i use these forums, so im gonna "git r done" for him. He has 2 JL Audio 10w3's from 1997 (he sais) pushed by a lanzar vibe 251 1600wpeak amp. The vehicle is a 2005 Scion xB. These were also in the same box, w/ the same amp, in a 1997 Mitsubitshi Eclipse. In neither vehicle could we bridge these speakers, I had the amp in my truck before i sold it to him, and i ran 2 Kicker Comp VR 12's in a sealed box bridged, and a vented box bridged. Now in the eclipse, he said it popped the fuses on the amp automatically, and wouldnt play at all. He just got this scion, and we hooked it all up yesterday, and didnt bridge them. Today, i was like man, lets bridge them again, he agreed. So i bridged them, and they were beatin' HARD untill i pushed the gain between 1/4 and 1/2, and it popped the fuse in the power wire. I am totally confused as to why the speakers wnt bridge. They are wired where the signal goes into one VC, and a wire goes from that VC to the other one. One time in the eclipse i bridged them, and wired one VC together, and the other one went to the amp, the 10's werent wired together like i tried them today, and they didnt even beat as hard as they do unbridged, so we wired the VC's the way they are now, and unbridged them. I cant find the problem here. If anyone has any ideas, i would gladly try them out, Thanks for your input.

huh? kinda hard to understand. need more details. wat are the subs impedence? dual 2 or 4? what im understanding is that the amp might not be able to handle the impedence the way you wired your subs to. and about your inline fuse blowing, what size wires are you running and what size is the fuse? whats your total amperage?

edit: okay after getting more info on the amp you have, its

2x250@4

2x450@2

1x1000@4

look here to see how to wire your subs to get the impedence you need to push the subs.

im guessing you should be wiring it for 2 ohms load per channel since the subs can handle 300rms

Ok, So which one of these, if it will be bridged? This is the way i bridged them in the eclipse, and sounded real muddy and shit, wasnt hitting, but the speakers weren't wired together like in sereies or parralel(dont know which one) Will that make that big of a difference?

Dual 4, The pics are the same, but diff independences.
The 2nd pic you posted is irrelevant, since your subs are dual 4ohm coils.

But, it sounds to me like you wired the subs in parallel-parallel, which would give a 1ohm load.....well below what the amp can handle. Wire the subs in series-parallel (the first pic you posted) for a final 4ohm load and you should be good to go.

Ok, i will try this, run one wire from the amp to the subs, wire the subs positives and negatives together, then to the amp, then the other coil, wire it to itself?
