Speaker: Infinity 1252W Dual voice coil, 1000W max, 300W RMS, 8 or 2 OHM when bridged.
Amp: 300W (forgot brand)
Box: 1.25cf sealed (as recommended). 1 connection panel for +/-
Problem: Since the box only has 1 connector panel I am running the system bridged at 2 ohms (2 coils). I am wondering if this is best or if i should do the following...
Take the time to drill in a 2nd connection panel (undesireable effort) and run both the left and right channel of the amp to each of the coils. It's less watts per coil, more work, but more OHMs and less current (I think).
Concerns: AM I more likely to ruin the speaker bridging it to 2ohm since current would go up? Would it be quieter or have benefits? What if the left and right channel from stereo were playing in stereo (one coil does one thing and 2nd does something else). Would playing in mono be better and how?
