Brands recognized for their quality components and manufacturing.

Let's break this down in an easy to understand list, obviously I'll miss some but here goes. I'm not claiming these are exactly spot on, a few may need to be moved up/down a category

Good, average priced amp companies, may be slightly underrated but not too much

-SoundQubed

-Crescendo

-American Bass

-Precision Power

-Arguably Hifonics/MBQuart - more of a budget amp though

Slightly? more expensive, still not ridiculous. Very good quality, underrated power

-Sundown

-Incriminator

-DD

-MMats (also very very efficient)

-RD

-Atomic

Expensive but very high quality (this is where you get into "SQ" amps)

-Zapco

-Zed

-McIntosh

-Moscani

-Zuki

-Arc

Then the last category - rather expensive for the quality, but still good amps

-Rockford

-JL

-Memphis?

Where would u say Soundstream Rubicon, n Tarantula model fall. I have a RUB1.800D. Its been good so far but the fan is really loud n whiny. I was thinking about upping my amp to an RUB1.1000D. I can get one for 200$ which is about my max.

The Rubicon is alright, it just requires a lot of power to run. I wouldn't pay $200 for a 1000w Rubicon, though. You also won't hear any difference between your 800w amp and a 1000w amp. What subs will this be running on?

Yeah I was thinking that. My GF wans a system so I was gonna buy her an SA12 and give her my 800w. This is why I am looking to get a new amp. But I want it to be a decent amp to pair with my Gcon

Well in any sense I have a good idea of what im looking for as far as brands go. hanks for all the help guys. I am looking to up my budget to 400ish. Ill post my setup once I get it all. Thanks again fellas.

AudioTechnix 800.1, SAZ1000 (if you can find one used), there was a Diamond 1000.1 for sale a while back real cheap, maybe a PPI amp in the 1000w or so range, maybe even an American Bass 80/100.1

What voice coil configuration is your from by the way? I'm assuming dual 2

Why is that a bad thing? 2 ohms will have less distortion than 1 ohms and you can just buy two D2 subs or one D4 sub...
Only thing I hate is the 25 hz ssf since I like to play songs lower than that.
Not saying thats necessarily a bad thing, i was just never fond of that. I just see all the smaller boss, dual, crunch, ssl, just the cheap flea market amps that are 2 ohm stable and i guess i expect to see a larger, high quality amp stable down to 1 ohm or even .5 ohm. I guess more of a personal preference

Im looking for an amp that will power my Gcon 12" very nicely. I was looking at Sundown before I will see what I can get in a decent price range.
