Brain overload, am I making this to difficult?

Thanks for the help guys. Ive never set one that way, but rea up on how to, and found the calculator that was under the sticky tread. I'll be able to figure it out. I've always run just one sub, never ran 2 before so that's what's throwing me off. I assume parallel is run like this

You really want to re phrase that.In a circuit like this we assume impedance = resistance and V=IR where V is voltage, I is current, and R is total resistance. P=IV where P is power, V is voltage and I is current.

For wiring in series: Rtotal = R1 + R2 + R3 .... etc

For wiring in parallel: Rtotal = 1/((1/R1)+(1/R2)+(1/R3).....etc)

And in parallel OR series, the subs will be getting the same power, as long as the voice coils are wired the same on each sub.

In reality none of these will be exactly correct for the AC circuits we are running BUT they are a close approximation without many more very complicated formulas and experimentation.
So what was your point.

In a parallel circuit, the voltage stays the same throughout the branches, so the amp is set to 44v, both speakers are going to receive 44v. Assuming he wants 500 watts for each subs.

The Amp

44.72135954999579v=2ohms*22.3606797749979a

999.9999999999998w=22.3606797749979a*44.72135954999579v

The Subs

44.72135954999579v=4ohms*11.18033988749895a - each

500w=44.72135954999579v*11.18033988749895a - each

so 11.18033988749895a*2=22.3606797749979a, 500w*2=1000w

That's what I meant when I said in a parallel circuit the voltage stays the same and the current adds up.
