Box tips for 10" HD3 and 4-5k on tap

I'm about to try something similar.

10" Mach 5 SPL motored hybrid, alum coils

on a DD Z1

thinking about 1.15 cubes with 1 4" aero. I just know that a 6" aero would be too long for my tuning

Im doin 1 DD95Z10 of of two Sundown SAZ3000'S daisy chained for burps in 1.6 cubes after with 2 4" aeros....Ill let ya know once I fire it up and test on my term..

not my cup of tea I guess. Copper suspension was not good for what I needed, so BIGPIMPIN on hear picked em up.

Go smaller. .5 to .7 and 2 4in aeros external.
Sub facing pass side port back

Should be able to do a pretty decent number, 46ish legal prolly.

Should do about 149's legal. That's what we was doing with a single HDC315, and I'm sure if we worked harder we could have gotten more out of it.

1.25 cub ft with 6" aero externally depending upon your tone. I had the copper coils on the HD3's and about 12k on them because of my electrical and they took it like a champ for burps. IMO the HD3's took the daily beatings better than the HDC's off similar power. Only concern would be the cone. They tend to fold at 5k or so. Maybe some resin on the back would help.

The gap on the HD3's is diff. than the HDC's. Hence the no aluminum option for the HD3's. Thier are no aluminum coils laying around that will fit the HD3's.

ouch dang, the coil packs blew apart on em tho. Just had to glue the top spider down and they are now good to go. One ripped near the former, but glue fixed that as well

I talked to DJ already. I dont like the original hd3/dd cone....so when I recone we will use the hdc3 carbon fiber cone, and a new updated dustcap. Wonder how that will change the specs. Maybe lighter?
