Well I'm gonna recone the HD3 to a 10" it looks like. Got my crossfire to throw at it. I hear they can take 4k daily. Would be nice to play lows daily, but maybe we will save that for another box.

Lookin to just get a sick score from a ten. Will be goin in my trailblazer. Was thinkin 1 cube with 6" aero. Sub up with port back on the passanger side.

Whose knows their shit bout these...

The aluminum coils can only handle that kind of power for a short period of time. Just be careful with music.
DJ was sayin that the hd3 was only offered in copper last I talked to him

I can lower the gain for daily, but set to 4k during metering. Should be able to handle it for 30 sec

I'm so used to seeing HDC3 threads that I didn't realize it's a HD3. Just use good judgement. If you start to smell coil, turn the volume down.

The hdc3's copper coil soft parts were hurting me. The coil was fine off 2-2500, but I kept maxing its x max out for daily.

The hd3 has an alum soft parts setup, with all the spiders together

Go smaller. .5 to .7 and 2 4in aeros external.
Sub facing pass side port back

Should be able to do a pretty decent number, 46ish legal prolly.
cool, cool. I was thinkin of somethin along the lines of .75, but **** .5?

There will be more port volume, than box, lol. And what about 1 6" aero, vs 2 4"?

also do you mean face the sub to the right (passanger side of the car?) Or sub up?

Ik on 3k some people were getting some luck with a 1.25cu box with a 6in aero. But as stated above, you may have to go a bit smaller because of the large amount of power. And thorshammer was throwing 5k to each of his but he ended up needing aluminum coils. Also, check out my thread, it is extremely similar to yours;)

Edit: Exact qoute,

I've had luck with about 1.25ft^3 net and a single 6" aeroport(external). We've competed/tested this box in two different Blazers on different power. First Blazer did 143.8db on a 1500w amp at 1ohm in competition. Second Blazer did 148.4db on two 1500w amps strapped at 1ohm in testing. Scores were done with TL sensor on passenger windshield cars sealed.

Yeah I saw your thread too. Wasn't sure what the diff between the hd3 and hdc3 would be tho. I'm thinkin of doin 1 6" aero over 2 4".

Not sure if I can get alum coil for the hd3, maybe DJ will chime in. Thought he told me only copper b4

Im sure it will take it. Ik for sure itll do it on burps. But for daily you prolly wouldnt be able to give it an entire 4k. Im getting a 40.1 and ill be running it on mine at .5 for burps(a single one) lol.
