Just picked up two Eclipse 12" Titanium Subwoofers and these things are bad ***! Two inch surround and a solid titanium center! I currently have them in an MTX box and they sound decent, but I know the box isn't right for them, so I'm looking to build a new one. I have no knowledge of building boxes what-so-ever, so excuse me if I mess up the specs or description. I have a decent sized trunk, and I never need to carry anything and I keep my back seats down, so space isn't much of a concern. When I bought these subs I was told that they're work best in a 3.5^3 - 4^3ft. box tuned to 30-34Hz, unless someone has a better suggestion. Here are the specs I could find on them..

Fs: 27.68Hz

Vas: 32.4L

Sd: 430cm^2

Qts: 0.328

Qes: 0.351

Qms: 5.0

Xmax: 23.15mm

Bl: 28.00TM

Pe: 1000W RMS

Re: 5.9ohm

I have no idea what any of these specs mean, just throwing that out there. Anyone got suggestions on what size to make the box for best SPL? I know this is an SQ sub, but I'm more-so interested in SPL, or a little bit of both. Ported/Sealed? Any amp suggestions would also be cool.

Thanks guys!

EDIT

Looks like when building a box most people include the amp that they're putting to them. I currently don't have an amp running to them, so I'm open to suggestions on what would work best. Looking to put 800-900W RMS to each. Power isn't a problem, ordering a deep-cycle battery, 5 farad cap, doing the big three, and probably getting an HO ALT soon.
