box suggestion for 18" solox

My buddy got a solo x from one of my other buddies, lol, but anyways we are gonna build a box for it this weekend. Kinda needing some suggestions.

I was thinking around 7.5-8 cubes

Its goin in a blazer so we are gonna do sub up, port back.

Tune it to around 35 hz.

What kind of port area does this sub need/like?

Here is what I have right now.

Then I could make a port plug makin the port width 3/4" narrower and 5" longer which should drop the tuning down to 35 hz for daily

Also we can't find 1" mdf anywhere near here, like kicker recommends so he had to buy 3/4". Will he be alright with just 3/4 then do a double baffle on the front, or would he need to do double thickness all the way around?

I would double baffle the front and use some bracing throughout the box.

also on the box design I have above can you put the sub anywhere? I would need to put it on the yellow side then rotate the box so that the sub is on top then the port is on the bottom facing the back of the vehicle.

Or would it be better to have the port facing the back still, but on the side instead running accross the bottom?
