box specs for 2 ma audio 800 xl

I just bought a couple of these but they are in a huge box probably around three times bigger than recommended. I have always liked vented boxes tuned in the low 30s. I am having a hard time finding specs but it looks like sealed around .5 per sub and ported around 1 cube per sub. just looking for input or advice especially from those familiar with this sub or similar 8's.

Most 8s stay between ~.6-1cf.. somewhere in the middle of that would probably work fine. Don't know how the low tuning would work. I would shoot for mid 30s tuning if I was just guessing at it.

Im trying to decide what kind of box now. Vented, ported, or sealed. i like the idea of a small sealed box to give me more room but i think i Will like the vented sound best. But I've never owned a sealed box.

Those subs like ported/vented(same thing) enclosures.

The last one we did was around .66ft3 net per driver.

What do you rwcomwnd tuning it to. what size vent surface area?
