Box size help

ok so im getting 2 15" Type R's with a Hifonics Bxi 2607D amp. Subs will be 2 dual 4 ohm wired to 1 ohm so i would be getting a total of 2600RMS at 1 ohm. i have NO clue what box specs. i should get... any suggestions?

look at the requirements for the type r for a vented enclosure, stick to the larger displacement, and then tune high

thats what i was thinking. allright so i got an idea.... 2 15" i would have to say about 5 cu ft box tuned at 30hz with about a 30 inch port.... hows that sound?

-->flat response would be 6cubes per speaker at 20.1hz(-3 at 18hz)

-->per speaker: 2.5cubes at 30hz gives you a +3db at 45hz and -3 at 27hz which would be a good box.

I think you will be happy with the 5 at 30 common space

yes....5cubic feet tuned to 30 hz with both subs in a common airspace
