box size for se's??

Ok, I did some measuring outside and now I have better measurements. I moved my seat forward and I have measurements of 17" deep x 17" high x 46" wide. I had to lower the height since my seat slant back a little bit. That should be enough to put the port on the same side as the woofers. I want everything on the same side since I like to put a blanket over the top of the box since if makes it real easy to see the box from the window. Do you think that should work?

Wow Jmac, I am impressed. That box is perfect :thumbs_up .I didn't expect you to design me a second box. Your a real nice guy. You even made it to the original measurements. Thanks again. Do you have a program that does that or did you do it in paper?

hey i was just thinking. am i gonna need to make any type of braces or anything in my box for my subs?? maybe a double thick front panel?? each of my subs weighs about 20 lbs. i was just wondering

I would puta brace right inbetween the 2 subs from front to back. They don't take up too much space and I think it worth it to be safer then sorry. Especially since you have an internal depth of 16.75. I decided to go with an XXX and I added in a brace from front to back couple inches from the woofer to prevent flexing.
