box rise

At the risk of sounding noobish; Do sealed boxes experience box rise? I ask due to the fact that my tc 12s, according to an archive mfg page that I found, say that they are actually dual 3ohm. So the way I have them wired is really .75ohm. Also, does any one have an idea as to what the saz1500v3 might be producing at that ohm load? Thanks in advance, dudes. I will be installing a small xs power batt, that I got from mylows a while back, in the rear for the amp.

It should be the similar to ported, smaller box will have less rise. However a smaller box also increases the woofers suspension and lowers efficiency of the subs.

You need impedence rise to play music, you only get a good look of it when you are burping individual frequencies. Impedance rise is what allows you to play frequencies evenly. In a way its hard to guess how much power you are actually getting out of the amp on music. You would probably need a clamped burp at particular frequencies to get any real results and actual ohm load after rise.

You should always expect impedance rise in every build. Some more than others. I believe smaller boxes have less rise and bigger box, more rise. When you're playing music it doesn't really matter that much but if you're burping that's a different story.
