So I've gone meter happy.

Measuring the ohms on my subs. 2 ohm dvc. I each sub wired at 1 ohm.

The meter climbs a lot from the 1ohm dead resistance to over 80 or more on bass excursions.

I wonder what that means for power/spl/frequency response?

So I wonder if a sub that has a lower impedance load during bass excursions is a better sub?

Seems like the amp would produce less power when the ohms climb like that?

I tried my pg1200 rsd at .5 ohms- it'll play but once I get on the volume- it'll protect. It will run all day wide open at 1 ohm. It's rated for 1200@2 ohms.
