Box recommended for my 8'' assassin sub?

Ok guys so now that I have read all about ported and sealed boxes and such and because my box is some trash as we all found out last night(well I knew beforehand haha) I went to ascendantaudio's website to see what size box they recommended for their subs because well they make them so they should know what box is best right?

so I should go with a cuft .6 and tune it to 40? Im definately going with ported because I dont really care for SQ much id rather have the SQ in the speakers and the subs to be louder. I dont think SQ would really make a difference in the shitty 12's in pushin. What do you guys think? Are the manufactures website the best way to go? Worlddre told me that he would build me a box either sometime this week or next. so I am getting professional help as we speak.

i built that box and its got some mad port noise and is very peaky but it may be b/c of my car

I did .9 tuned to 35 per moe lesters plans in the sticky for my bro. It was pretty loud and sounded pretty good for one 8. It was only getting 200 watts and still managed to flex his trunk lid pretty good....
