hey.. Ok I got my new 12"s in.. got all excited to put them in so I went to a safe place (because I live in the getto) and took the seat out of my "single cab truck" then pulled my dual 12" sealed box out. took out my old subs and started to put the new ones in and noticed that they wouldn't fit in the holes //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif so I worked the holes slightly bigger to get them in.. still didn't fit.. the subs are bumping into the back of the box //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif :(

since it seems that there is about 3/4 an inch to fitting properly.. I came up with an idea to fix it..

if I measured the proper size and cut a hole in the back of the box, then got some 1/2 inch or so.. of plexi glass or some other sturdy material and covered the hole back up from the outside.. that would give the back area of the sub another whole inch of space to go back...

I know this is a bad rig up job.. but I'm screwed otherwise because of having a single cab truck and a truck wedge box.. I don't have alot of options..

.. I hate to have my pretty new subs just sitting in their nice box not being used.

if you guys can think of anything better than please let me know.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

You could take some more MDF and cut a ring out, Mount the ring on top of the existing hole in the box, if you get 1" think MDF then you've got another inch ontop of the box to mount it.

sorry I can't invert I'm in a single cab truck.. the bigger box is an idea I'm really thinking about. ATM though I've got some MDF and will be making spacers tomorrow to see if it will fit..
