Box placement in car

I have a sealed box with 2 10's, in the trunk(not hatchback) of my car. where and what position is the best place to put my box? right now i got the subs firing towards the seats because i have an obcon box that has a plexiglass window so i can see the magnents(very nice). So where would it SOUND the loudest? Where would i get the most dbs?

VERY tricky question man.. Usually it sounds better and is louder to the ear firing the cone towards the opening of the trunk.. USUALLY i said, u just have to try and see what you like..

yea u just gotta experiment. unless u can find somebody with the same system and car. i get the loudest facing my subs towards the rear of my jeep.

Will the placement make a dramatic difference in sound, or is just a small difference?

ummm... i mean u can tell.. but its not a huge deal..

yea u might be able to tell the difference if u try it towards the rear and then to the front. but moving them so they kinda fire at an angle sometimes adds point something db's. but u need to have like seperate boxes or something. bass mekanik had a couple type S subs and he angled them all over the place. look him up in the gallery.
