I do what I want
Hey guys I was lookin for some opinions on a box... I know I know, I didnt build it! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif However for my setup at the moment and me changing vehicles soon I thought this would be a cheaper easier way to go about it... Atleast until I get more knowledge of boxes so I can build my own.

I proabably going to running a Skar VVX, DC level 3, or an SA 12... So what do you think of it for those subs? will 34hz be good for all kinds anywhere from country to rap? Anything else you see that would be bad about it?

Heres the link- Sound Ordnance™ Bass Bunker Ported single 12" subwoofer enclosure (Model BB12-200V) - Features & Specs at Crutchfield.com

Also there is a 1.6 cube version at 34 hz what do you think would be better?

if its tuned to 34hz its fine. it is 5/8 wood thickness which isnt very good, but if its just temporary should be fine. ive used 5/8 sealed np, but not ported

do u not know how to build, or design a box?

Thats part of the reason I was gunna go with this box for now until I started to learn a little bit more about building a box and how to tune them correctly for my needs... I talked to a member (BuckyBoy with Smith Customs) and he said he would help me out when I get a little closer to needing a box... I would like to learn to do this myself however since I can use CAD to design my own boxes or others once I get the hang of it

building them is not hard. u can watch videos and see its pretty simple. put wood glue between the wood and a $20 nail gun/nails to hold them together till it dries.

hard part is designing. but there are some on the web that u should be able to find one that works. if u cant u can design one pretty close

imho, don't waste your time. first, i think triangular ports are horrible, much like the triangular sub. just someone's attempt at copying origionality. i.e. square driver can be better than round, in the same class, yet triangular, and pentagons are sub-grade. enough about the port....there is many other pre-fab boxes, just hit up best-buy, or pick up an obcon, if you want something good. many times, you can find good used, or sale items just looking around your area. idk, if i'm breaking any rules here, but the retailer that add comes from has always carried products well above average retail, and maintained that price 3 or more years after the product was super-ceeded by the next year model........just peruse their deck selections... i haven't in a while, but i bet there is still some over-priced nos in there

p.s., i agree......i wanted to donky-punch that chick and clean it up with that guys face...

in my experience, i have never seen them work as well as rectangular, or round ports.....i chock it up to the sharp angles creating dead-zones and turbulence, or a matter of placement in the box itself....... they are just something i never cared to apply the energy to go more in depth with......... and i believe you can run an l-port down the back of an angled box easily
