Box idea for Single cab truck

Right now i've got my box set up like it is in picture B. It's aiming up towards me from behind my seat. Its in a sealed enclosure and i mostly feel the bass in my back.

I want to switch over to the boxes in Pic A. They will be facing each other so i'll have to switch the phase. I think this will solve my problem with feeling the bass in my back and i can create a ported box while i'm at it.

These will be for my Rl-i 10's

Any comments or suggestions on this idea?

Thanks for your time

~Mike

A 10" sub can sit sideways behind your seat!? Dang, I wish I had that kinda room..MMMM

Im needing to find someone with Singlecab Truckbox plans for a Treo 12" SSi..

I don't have any suggestions and I have no idea what im talking about but dang, just you having that much room impresses me! LOL

/me appologizes for posting uselessness in your thread, but consider it a bump?

Ya i want to build a new box completly. I measured the demsions for the maximum per enclosure and its like 12x12x24. Thats got to fit 1.25^3 and a port. I can play with the height a little, but hoping it'll all fit once i get some plans..

Thanks for the bump Meh! And you can check out proboxrocks.com for some refrence pics for coming up with your own plans, i know they have a box for a standard cab that can fit 2 12's. I think its only like .8^3 sealed though.

Ah, thanks mate! Oh and where can I find these Prorockbox's cheap? /end thread diversion...

I had one i picked up at a local bizarre around here, in ghetto town. I don't see them very often for sale on the net though.

mrray13 = building me a box at the moment, try contacting him

200 bucks shipped on a box for me, .6^ft of port, 2.5^ft after displacement of airspace for a ported 12 with all sorts of hard designing in her...single cab F-150 1999 model is what I've got goin, you can at least talk to him...

SPeaking of which, what year moel and what truck do you have?

Its a 98 F150 STX, I want the 99 Dipping grill //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif... I'll be sure to get into connect with him. thanks.

Hey, question about that grille... http://www.cardomain.com/ride/820534/1 is a pico f my truck, go and look at the first pic on the first page - that grille is what you want? I still have it, actually, if that's what you're takling about(although I'm not sure whats so special about it)...you can talk to me on AIM, if nothing else

BigBoyGrubbs = my aim

I have a box for three 10s, two sealed 15's, and now my ported 12 that all fit my/our truck lol

You can talk to me about Ideas I'm having with mine...if you care to

Like on your truck where the grill surround meets the bumper, it dips into the bumper. mine is just a straight cross line. ANy any cool bumpers will only fit on your year model.

Here is my single cab ported box for a 12" sub. perfect fit, and i mean perfect.

I used 1/2" MDF all the way around except for the front which is 3/4". I glassed the inside and outside of the box so it wont flex. It took a long time to make but it was well worth it.

reg cab f150s **** *** in regards to making room for sub boxes

i should know i drive one. that stupid *** hump limits your height of the box to 12 inches unless you want to fiberglass over it

mrgrubbs how did you get 2 cu for each sub? glassing over the top and into the console? its a tough squeeze for my SE12 and i have it sealed behind hte passenger wtih .95 after driver displacement.

kuijo, that kind of setup in pic A will be hard as hell to make unless youre willing to lose some legroom. what i can suggest alternately is maybe a downfiring box with the port facing out the side or wherever youd like since you dont want bass on your back
