Box help

I have a 91 volvo 240 and i have 4 RE 8's. I dont think they will sound that great in a regular box in my trunk so i want to put them in the hat rack(space between back seat and rear winshield). Has anyone done this or do you think this could be done. Im not sure on any of the requirements the subs need, so bare with me.

Anyone have any info on what im talking about?? I want to start building a box but i dont know if i will have to make one for my trunk or try this. Help please!!

Why don't you think they'll sound good in the trunk? I'd just put them in a box in the trunk, fire them towards the tail lights and have the box positioned as much towards the front of the car as possible. This will get you the best sound from your subs. That should work out well for you.
