box help

I already have a box built and I was wondering if you guys could help me figure the intenal area and tuning.. The box is ported and is one big chamber

its 40in Wide x 13.5in tall x 22in deep all internal measurements

I have two PVC pipe ports in the middle (between the subs) that are

13in long and 2in wide..

any of you mathematicians wanna help me figure my cubes and tuning? PLZ

ps. my stepdad and I built this before I ever got big into these forums.. all we knew was big box with holes = loud. he is a carpenter so its a very sturdy and well built enclosure

That gives a tuning frequency of ~13hz..., if you have the room between the subs replace those port with 4'' diameter pvc ports each 10'' long for deeep bass (27hz tuning) or 6'' long each for slighter higher tuning (32hz), you can expriment with the length to give you the sound you like.

I dont think 4in pvc will fit since its a 4inch space between the subs.. so If I was to do a slot port that was 3.5 inches wide and 13.5 inches tall how deep would i need to make the port to tune it right?

wut if I was to do 3inch pvc ports?

If you do the 3.5x13.5 port, make it about 13-15 inches long. That should tune between 30-32hz and should sound decent.
