Box help. What to tune it to

I'm going to be running a 10" Eclipse 88100ti with about 1000rms to it. Its going in a 1997 toyota 4runner. Looking to do roughly 2 cubes ported, but i don't know what I should tune it to. I listen to mainly rap/hiphop but I also want it to be able to keep up with the double kick drum from Lamb of God. Any ideas? 30-32hz? Higher?

What range do most songs play on average? if i tune it to 40hz does that mean that notes below that arent as strong?

I'd go with 30-32. Download WinISD for an estimate of what your response curve would be. I plugged in the specs myself; you might want to go with a bigger box too... say 2.5-3.0 cubic feet.

I highly discourage using this subs for rap/hip hop, nor going ported. This sub belongs in 1 cube sealed on jazz, or at least dub step

for a single 10" sub that enclosure is just way too big. that is on the large size for a 12".

oops. i was looking at the specs for the 12. and it took quite a few minutes...does eclipse have an official website?
