Box for SX 12.

Ok I dont usually post, generally I just lurk around reading and learning. I just got a new RE SX 12. I currently have a JBL 600.1. I know thats not quite enough power, but it will have to do for now. I have read the posts about the RE site and the SX enclosures not being correct. I have tried to call them a few times but for some reason cant get a live person. I am ready to get the project rolling.

Im still deciding on wether to do a Vent or rounded port. For some reason I like the rounded port look. I have played around with some dimensions and cubic feet and have came out with 29 Length, 15 Height, 13 depth and came out to 2.47 cf. This would be perfect for my 2000 mazda protege. I attempted to play with WInISD, but that was like reading spanish, was way out of my league.

So my main question is if I use rounded ports. I would like to use two of them. What is the diameter and the length for the two ports I would need. Also how difficult is it to cut a 4 inch in circle in MDF with a jigsaw. Sounds kinda challenging.

Based on general reading I was looking at the 2.5cf and 35hz tuning.

I would truly appreciate any assistance.

Plus my wife asked me how much it would cost to build this box, I told her, then she asked me how much it will cost to buy the real box afterwards..LOL..I need to prove her wrong.

I was wondering if the slotted port and the round ports would sound different?
