OK, before i decided 100% if i ma ditching the XXX or not i am wanting to try it out in a new box. Right now i am running a factory spec box 4ft^3 @ 33hz and it just doesn't impress me. So i am open to suggestions here...

now the pretty much seals the trunk area from the cab so i figure I should most likely port through the rear deck with the sub facing the rear. I am just wondering what the best results have been as far as box size and tuning frequency. I keep trying to compare this setup to my HDC315 in a 4.5ft^3 @ 40hz but bottom line is that it just don't compare... I keep hearing they need a pretty decent size box and that the 33hz is a little on the low side but i figure i would toss this out there and see what people have to say...

Well, how much area did you have on the port of your previous box, those XXX have mad excursion, your port could've been too small and choking it maybe?
