I'd go with a 30hz tuning then. 2.5ft^3 at 30hz is still going to give you a good peak in output.

My thoughts are he's looking more for the "I feel the bass loud". Lower tuning will sound better and increase the output in the lower frequencies, thus feeling louder than a box tuned higher which actually may be numerically louder.

My Exploder is going to fall apart. The rear hatch is going to break, I'm 99.99% sure.

My XXX 12 enclosure is loud, here is the dimensions:15.75" d

21.50" w

13.50" h

= 2.64 cubic ft

Port

3" w

13.50" h

34" d

=1377 cubic inch port*

(not 100% on the cubic inch for the port but The measurements are right)

Face is double faced 1.5 inch and .75 the rest. Good luck keep us posted on how it turns out.
