Box For My 15" Sub!!

I have a Cerwin Vega V-Max 15.4. I am looking for a ported box.

The recomeneded specs are

3.5 cu.ft.

35hz

There is other information but I dont know if its necessary. If there is other stuff to know just tell me, and I'll post it.

I'm pretty new to this stuff and I'm looking for a ported box around $100 shipped. I want someone with experience to pick out a box, because I just want to make sure it's the right one to get.

look in the stickies for box deminsions. then take it local to have em build it. or make friends with a table saw owner.

I have a box for a 15 for sale. Its 3.6 cubes, tuned to 32 hz. It has an inch thick plexiglass front and a mirror on the back wall. I can do $100 plus shipping for it. PM me if interested

I heard that getting things done by local shops is a ripoff, and I dont know anyone whos good with woodworking.

ask around. most shops here charge 125 a box. shouldnt be more than that. 30 bucks for material and couple hours at most of building. not sure what the hour rate is but shouldnt be more than 50 a hour

Cant you get them online for cheaper though?

Someone recomnded a box for me and it was $90 shipped. But they said its tuned at 38hz. And they said it might get a little peaky.

Is this much to worry about?
