box for MT?

finally gettin around to doin the in trunk box build for my MT this weekend. lookin around 5.5 to 6 cubes after displacement. still debaten the tuning though. lookin for loud on low bass on music, but still would like to put up a respectable #'s. what should i be lookin at for tuning? mid to high 30"s?

make a box with a changeable port? Either replaceable or a WIDE slot that you can plug 1 side for daily.

i got my 15 in 4.3 tuned to33 hz gets loud and still puts up goo numbers

Im guessing your doing an 18"

Im having a dilemma deciding my box specs too but im planing on tuning to 35hz, im trying for 7 cubes net but ive heard they will sound good even on 5.5 cubes, then again ive seen people give them 8-9 cubes each.

I really need to find out because its going to be the deciding factor of whether i take out my other rear seat in the back

It's an MT. Supply it with enough wattage, it will put up good numbers regardless of tuning.

My 2 18's were in the upper 153 area, tuned to 35hz..and got crazy on music(150).

I went from an 18 cube box to a 12 cube box and the 12 cube box was louder..(for 2 MT's)

so i think somewhere around 6 is a good number...

which box got lower?

it will be seein plenty of power with the vfl 400.1. ive heard that they did good in small box, well a box ever 5 cubes. just was lookin for a lil input. hopefully should have this build started sunday

I just worked out my design, 7.1 ft^3 before port and speaker displacement. So figuring i use 2x 6" aeros+the sub+bracing, after displacement ill be around 6ft^3. This is including the double baffle on top for the sub
