Box for kicker round solo 15?

got a oldschool round s15c model sub in my car right now. running 500 rms to it off my sub amp. i have it in the box kicker rec in its manual to exact specs in there. 1.5cuft sealed. sub doesn't seem to go as low as i thought it would....

any other box designs i can consider without damaging the sub? manual says no ported and no larger than stated sealed......

nooooooooooo ported...

throw some polyfill in there, that may help. I used to have two s12c's and i fed them the juice in small boxes and they loved it... maybe you could make it a tad bigger as well as polyfill? 1.75 cubes?

I hadn't thought about polyfill. i will give that a shot next then. i would like to find 2 s12c's for my truck install. getting harder to find them.

I had one in a 1.5, low end was no issue at all off only 375 watts too.

Recommended Sealed for those was like .88 ft3.

wow...i was gonna say too...no way that was right..haha

i mean it does go low i guess you can say...but when i think of a 15 with decent power.....i guess i just thought it would do "more". maybe i need to do some more adjusting on x-over and settings.

i am going to try couple other amps on it too to make sure it isnt what im running it off of. right now it is on a us acoustics usx1000d. i ran it off of my oldschool cerwin vega 3200 amp in my last car ...it runs like 375 rms bridged..and it sounded louder on that amp. trunk install as well with same box. i also thought about trying my ppi powerclass 2100 on it too. maybe i am fighting a amp problem not keeping it powered up on lower notes. just seems like it gets loud to a certain vlume level and just kinda stops if that makes sense. the 1000d should have plenty o juice for it.....running 4ga power/ground to amp. batt is under rear seat of my car...so short leads. its in trunk of a 2000 bonneville.

Thanks man, I love it too. Drive it much less now with the 2nd car, haha.
