that works for me.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif  I should calculate the weight of the box just for fun but I can't remember the measurements I took.... there is probably some crazy math equation to tell you how much MDF it would take to enclose x sized box but it'd probably be easier to just remeasure the cargo space

WinISD says 3cu^ft for a Q of .702... of course I don't even know what that means //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif **** I feel like a noob now... I need to do more research on this stuff... ohh well I've got time.. I need to do my GIS HW

EDIT: ok I kinda get Q now.... WinISD says Q of .5 would be 3.7cuft each... Q of .707 would be 1.5 cf each... more lowend response, sacraficing high end with the lower Q.... am I basically correct?

From some site I was reading:

"The only way to get a true IB installation in your car (no trunk cars) is to cut a hole in your roof and mount the sub to it so that the rear chamber is the entire free world. Don’t laugh, I’ve seen it."

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif  //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif no shit, what a perfect idea for my daily driver...

omg....... i havent even thought about that. how amazing would that be. make sure its inverted 2 so you can see 2 big mags comming down the road. ..... but what about weather and debris //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif hrm....... if i had a peice of crap car. Id def give it a try. Just think it sound pretty decent outside the car as well as in.

perfect ib maybe that but you can build a smaller box and "vent" it outside. people make it sound alot harder than what it is

I got the RAA2400 for 167 shipped BNIB (not ikesound).. it seemed to be about right... if it doesn't work out it should resell for about the same but my budget is running thin for now so it'll have to do

yah that would be doable but this is my first vehicle that doesn't have a totaled title or that's not a rust bucket etc etc... I'd rather not cut large holes in it... but I see your point... build an IB box and cut a hole the size of a small rear deck to vent it outside...

talking pop can sized or smaller also look into ap mats. water proof use gortex material.... its water proof
yah I could probaby find a material that would let the soundwaves through but keep out water... not sure about moisture too though... I would try it if I was going to fiberglass these in but I think I'll go sealed MDF box for now... that sized hole could be found somewhere unobtrisive and if I were to sell the car just take a strip of sheet metal and rivet/body glue it into place under the carpet and no one would ever know.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
