Box for higher powered sub.

When building a box for larger and more powerful subs, is their anything special you need to do in terms of bracing the box? Also it will be lying face up.

As far as ports go. The specs say it works best with two ports @40hz. Does the depth of the port matter? Or is it only the height/ width?

Alright.

With the length. Is it from the front of the port to the back of the box? or until the end of the wall that doesn't go all the way to the back or the box. (sorry don't really know how to describe it.)

its actually measured right down the middle of the port even thru the turn if there is a turn....that goes for square or round ports. Also, the port area is hugely important as well
