what is wrong with them??? It's my first ported box so cut me some slack... I do want to get the most for performance out of my 18.

I was thinking the same thing about the port area........maybe the ratio will be good, maybe not. Can't wait to find out. OP, let us know about the port turbulence on that thing. Should be fairly high.

if you guys can come up with the specs for 2 4 in aeros with flares tuned to 35 hz i would be eternally greatful!!! The sub i beleive takes up about 1 cu ft of space so were are looking at about 7.3 cu ft after bracing and sub displacement....

I can take a look at the current design for you and give you some specs on it about what the possible(if any) limitations are and if they are an audible issue or not. Just pm me with the design info and ill look over it for you.

As far as calculating for another one, first, see how this one sounds, because it is not correct to judge a design based on looks, even when experience is considered and shows to be correct. So, give the current design a go first, and if you are not satisfied with the results, then I can offer you a new design inexpensively done.

So, try what you have made out first, because you might personally enjoy it. And if not, and you find our worries to be correct or if you just want something that may be more compatible, then let me know and we can get you set up in that direction.

Personally, i think you did a great first box design, and since it is built, it is worth the attempt to use it. But do not be surprised if port noise does become a factor. It can take time to get it right if experience is needed. No worries. And thank you for sharing the design with us!
