Box for 4 L7s

Let me warn you!!!!.........My local custom installer (best one in my area) recently did a SEALED box for 4 12" L7 06's ok.......he had 4 seperate 800Watt alpine amps to them in the back of a FX35.....BLEW THE SUBS OUT of the box ok..............SO THEY HAD TO MODIFY...decided that if they BOLT them down they wouldnt move......BLEW EM ALL OUT AGAIN!!! so id say regardless on the box deisgn (i htink it was .75 cu. each sub after disp.) it had to be pretty crazy to do that and not blow the subs...so take that as you wish.

.75cubes per 12 ...thats reeeeeeeeeeeealy small

the subs should barely move with that much power and that small of a box for those subs

****, just did my box build in winISD to confirm everything from bassbox pro. The port calculations are wayyyy different. It doesn't look like the 12" L7s like a 10.2 cubic foot box tuned to 37hz, they need like a 20 cubic foot box according to winISD.

Ok well here's the deal I guess. How would a closed 10 cubic foot box compare to a sealed 10 cubic foot box tuned to 37hz? I do want my L7s to maximize greatly in SPL in the 35-50hz range. My box building software between winISD, bassbox pro 6, and an online port calculator give me different port lengths and it's really aggravating.

That's the current response, I'd like to shift it a little to the left but am out of ideas. I'd like it to gain a little more around 40-45hz. Anybody have suggestions to shift this a little left? It's actually at 10.69 cubes right now but identical response.

I just did 2 15" L7s in same size box tuned to 34hz and it gets louder and lower and has great extension.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif Would 2 15" L7s off a hifonics XX colossus II really get louder than 4 12" L7s? Would the 12s sound better and less sloppy?
