Box failure, it wont fit in my car

I did this exact same thing. hahaha. it SUCKS! Except I did it with two 15's in a ported box. And I built the entire box first (routered edges, sanded, and painted it, even dropped the subs in) ...then found out it didnt fit.

Im good at fitting big things in small places but after workin it for 2 hours I said **** it.

I think u should take out ur seats completely, take all the trim out behind the seat and if u have to cut a lil of the bracing, not sure how big ur trunk is but i got a 95 honda civic and the box for my one 15" fi Q is 16 tall, 30 wide, and 20 deep and i got mine to fit in my trunk.

So you think I could make a ported box small enough to fit in my trunk for a 15 inch SSD? I dont care if its top firing or back
use external aero ports for your new design. they would give you more internal volume and you dont have to install them until your box is in your trunk already

Yeah I posted this in my other thread but I am pretty sure this will get a lot more attention. No one is going to want to pass up the chance to call me a dumbass when they read this thread.

Well I finished my box build for my 15 inch SSD today. Ran outside all excited thinking about a month and a half later I would finally get to hear my brand new sub!

I lift the box up push it into the trunk! PHEW thank god its not to high, Push a little more.......wtf it wont go in. the floor wont let me push the top down into the trunk, the trunk is plenty deep but the floor stops it from going in.

I tried everything I could think of even taking out the spare tire. Nothing worked. I am so disappointed and feel like a dumbass right now. I was happy with the way the box turned out but I dont think I am up to making another one. It will now most likely be over a month before I get to hear my SSD. This truly sucks
Take this box apart in pieces that will fit in the trunk and put it back together in there.

if you do decide to build a new box. build it to the required space range and tunning needed for the sub. don't go any lower. then just build the box in the trunk. it is not at all hard to do when your making just a basic ported box like that. now if you were building one for an 18 then i could see some issues.

What are the dimensions on your box now? How many cu ft?

if you removed the top panel, would it give you enough room? And did you strip the trunk down to bare metal?
Yeah I give up there is no way its fitting. Now I need to work on getting a design that will actually fit
