Box failure, it wont fit in my car

Yeah I posted this in my other thread but I am pretty sure this will get a lot more attention. No one is going to want to pass up the chance to call me a dumbass when they read this thread.

Well I finished my box build for my 15 inch SSD today. Ran outside all excited thinking about a month and a half later I would finally get to hear my brand new sub!

I lift the box up push it into the trunk! PHEW thank god its not to high, Push a little more.......wtf it wont go in. the floor wont let me push the top down into the trunk, the trunk is plenty deep but the floor stops it from going in.

I tried everything I could think of even taking out the spare tire. Nothing worked. I am so disappointed and feel like a dumbass right now. I was happy with the way the box turned out but I dont think I am up to making another one. It will now most likely be over a month before I get to hear my SSD. This truly sucks

Yeah but I dont think it will fit that way. I will go measure and maybe give it a shot but I think I am screwed

Can you take off the trunk latch? At the bottom where the trunk lid secures? Thats usually how I end up getting enclosures into trunks when space is limited.

edit- Is it sealed or ported? Could you lop off the bottom back of the box so its an angle, slide it in, and then glue on a piece of MDF over the cut edge to seal it back up? Just an idea for ya....

I did the same thing. I ended up cutting the box down more and more until it fit. Once I got it to fit I realized it looked like shit and gave up

that suxs. Maybe find an area where you can cut the box clean all the way around, so you have like 2 half boxes, then use like 3" kleets and join it back together in trunk. idk,
