Box Design for 15" RF Hx2

I have little experience designing (plenty building them) sub boxes... I have a friend with a Rf 15 hx2 and a T10001 to power it... The box is going to be for pure SPL and the ressonant frecuency of the car is somewhere between 47hz-50hz (VW golf 95)...

The box is going to be a crx box...

I can do between 3.5-4cubes net

What tuning frecuency do you recommend for this sub??

i want to use aeroports and i want to know if 4 4" aeros would be overkill for this sub.

Other thing i want to change the tuning frecuency for daily driving (sql) sometimes... that's why i want to use aeros.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

4 4" aeros would be right around ~50 Sq inches of port, I would probably use maybe one more or two, but you really need to get ahold of some six inch aeros and use 3 or 4 of those...I have right at 90 Sq inches of port for the 15" box that I have for use in my apartment as a home audio setup.

and i have 198.5 squares on mine for 2 15's

I like bigger ports though

personally i think you'd do ok with 4 " areos....as for the tuning around 40-42 should get your peak in the 47-50 range.

I want to get 145+ with this setup... on the TL

can it be done? what do you guys think?

I have read that the power hx2 is a badass but i have never used it.

it is possible.

my best is a 146+ on the TL with about the same size box, 2 4" areos, 15" brahma, and a1200w cadence A7 amp and bracing and resin.
