Box design flaw???

Hi had a forum member hook me up with dimensions for a box he did awesome btw.. but I took what he gave me and was just screwing around with numbers and two things don't make sense to me.. first one variable you can input is common walls he put 3 in for that it may be right I just don't know what that means. And second there's an input for extra baffles ok so he put one in for that because it is going to be a double baffle so all sounds good right ? Well for fun I put in zero and give me more volume which is what I want from. 3.98 to like 4.40 cubes for taking away a baffle? I don't see in any way how a piece of wood on top of another for a double baffle would in anyway affect internal volume ??? Is this a calculator fail or do I have a mush brain xD btw calculator is accurate matched it with Torres

double baffle value is for the wood to be under. Not on top. If you gonna do on top, leave it at 0. Common walls is how many walls of the box you are using for port.
