Im getting 1x12 Earthquake Subzero and powering it with a Earthquake PHD2 amp(2000watts/1000rms)(its not on the EQ amp webpage). I really dont know what kind of box to put it in. Its going to be put in a demo vehicle (to advertise earthquake products for local dealer)The dealer wants to put it in a prebuilt box from on the the companies he sells. It needs to be loud(kind of hard not to be with a 2000watt sub/amp) but it also needs to sound really good. Any suggestions on size, port or sealed? I believe manufacture suggests a 1.9 cu ft for a ported bix but im not sure. Thanx

Not that I don't want to be helpful......but:

1) Shouldn't the dealer know the appropriate size box for the sub? Isn't that part of selling a product.....knowing how to use it best?

-and-

2) If I were a shop owner, I'd take this opportunity to show off my customization/craftsmanship skills by custom fab'ing up a box and not using some prefab (whether he sells them or not).

Anyways.....Here is a link to the manufacturer's suggestion: http://www.earthquakesound.com/subzero_12.htm
