Tomorrow i am going to give it a go at my first box. My question is the plan i have is 4.3 cubes @32 hz....is this good or bad?

My subs are 2 12 inch Kicker Cvrs.

Two cubes a pop sounds good from what I've designed for them. 4.3 should just help flatten it out but lower the Pe a little bit.

why 3.5? i dont know anything about what is the best cubes for these subs...what is better 3.5 4.0 4.5

because the max per sub is 2.25

well i got a design from corey its 4 cubes at 34 hz.....the wood was cut at lowes....the guy cutting it was a dick when he seen how many pieces i had lol....he got them pretty close....at least close enough to make it useful....I HATE JIGSAWS lol....i got the front on the only other parts that need to be put on are the port piece and the top..i am going to finish up the box tomorrow and it will be better then what i have now which is nothing lol.....(please dont make fun of me as this is my first box..and i dont have a work place besides my trash cans and my steps lmfao....)

after i get done with the box i am going to use fleckstone on it.

why is the mdf splitting? did the screws u use too big? cause i dont see no clamps...looks pretty nice. i wish i was more precise with my first build. used a hand saw and each peiced was different size. ALOT OF sanding and ALOT OF CAULKING...F-en SUUCKED!

the screws i am using are 1 1/2 inch which is what i was told to get it only cracked in two spots...so far i am really happy with it...i mean i am def. no pro like others..i am actually far from it lol.........i am poor..(thanks to school) but i am just happy to have something to finally put my subs into.

Try stayin about 2" from the corners and pre-drill and your wuud will not split:crazy:

if this is your 1st build its not to bad...

some pointers:

like others said. wipe that messy glue away, pre drill your holes before screwing the pieces together, your cut out on the circle isnt centered, purchase some clamps it makes it alot easier!
