pics of the truck???
Here's the truck as it sits now.

I colour matched the bumper and grille surround, and painted the center toyota emblem black:

I tinted the tails and 3rd brake light. The cops have been giving me a hard time:

I have a set of Goodyear Duratrac's 325/65R18's (35's) on order that are going on black 18" KMC XD Rockstars, with a 6" lift, but the tires are on backorder for another 6 weeks!......so it continues to look like crap with those bicycle tires.

can you take apart the part of the seat you sit on and leave the back rest? My friend had a z71 and he left the back support one and was able to remove the bottom and fired 2 15's down to teh floor and ported it in the center firing in between the 2 seats. The box acted like a bottom part of the seat. Just a idea.. I belive there was some kind if padding on it. But no one really ever rode back there.

Couple of things.

1. Great build, I thought it would be a low key install, and it's nothing crazy, but it's being done right (besides the box just sitting on the backseat of course //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif ), looks great though.

2. Those are some mighty fine holes you cut out with the jigsaw. Would've fooled me, I would have guessed router + jasper jig. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsup.gif.3287b36ca96645a13a43aff531f37f02.gif

3. Does that headunit have touchscreen navi? And how much did it cost you? I might be getting a new car here shortly and this time I'd like to use the double din instead of using an install kit and being left with a pocket compartment.

It does for now. I am going to figure out some way to secure it so it doesn't move around.
Seatbelts //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

And if you didn't like the MB Quarts and opted for RSDs instead, you'll probably be disappointed. I have had MBQ Premiums and am running RSDs now, and the Quarts were better by leaps and bounds.

And no, don't seriously use seat belts lol

The head unit is touchscreen, but no navi. It holds 6 DVD's or CD's, will plug just about everthing into it, but the Navi unit is an external unit you have to purchase, and it's not offered anymore.

No, I'm not using seatbelts. Ha! The seatbelts would never get around this thing anyways! The quartz were good, but I didn't like them on music. Throw an electric guitar in there and I found they distorted very, very easily, and the sound wasn't clean even before it distorted. They played excellent on everything else........especially vocal stuff, which I rarely listen to.

+1 for good equipment
+1 for a truck i would love to have

-100023892839 for not mounting your box down. Dont be an idiot.

Obviously you missed this, but like I said before, I am not leaving it like that. What I am planning on doing is securing adjustable straps to the back of the box on both sides, and mounting those straps through the seats and bolting them to the seat mounts. I can't really see any other way to do it, and have it look decent.

You cannot take apart these seats due to the mounting brackets (more of an L shape that mounts to the floor, and the back wall). The thought did cross my mind, though! I went though many different ideas before opting to this. I wanted to be able to run my two 18" Fi BTL's that I had in my 2007 FJ Cruiser, but there's no way to run them without removing the seats.

I have a bit of a race team, and I race snowmobiles and a drag bike, so I need to be able to bring people when I go to the events. Not having seats is not an option.
