box build for my s10

so layed down 3 coats of clear.... still have about 3-5 and then wetsanded and polishing to go down. target is to be down next weekend.

Box looks great but my question is after all that work why didn't you router the outside edge of the port to reduce port noise and increase spl?

well so far not happy with the clear on the box so its still in paint but i did manage to quickly wrap my false floor about 10 mins ago and figured i post it up....

Looks great! Even if you don't have a router you can take a rasp and files to the pvc to round it over and get rid of that hard lip. Home Depot even sells a rotary rasp that attaches to your drill and it makes things a lot easier, you just have to be careful not to take big gouges out as that will happen very easily with a high speed drill.

Rotary rasps are like $5 too, they are a very worthwhile and inexpensive addition to anyone's toolbox.

now since you helped with the tip do you mind showing what is meant with the whole getting rid of the hard lip, like what it looks like?

I used the rotary rasp to remove the majority of the material, then used a file and some sand paper to smooth it out. I still need to smooth it out more

well box is almost ready to install. just gotta get the power wire ran and then i can get this bad boy into the truck. btw first carpet job(not the best but will do the job)

Naw, that is a small box in your truck. I managed just about 10ft3 in one below the window line..that was a huge box haha.
