That is enough airspace for them. Its around .6-.7 per sub

I actually had a debate here a few years back about glue, nails... anyways, I put out a challenge to who ever it was that I could build them a box that didn't have a single nail, screw or glue (caulk in interior for sealing, depending on moisture content of wood) that they could not blow apart with what ever sub/amp combo they wanted to use. I would use all dovetail joints and 4 wood pins. No one piped up

Anyways, I haven't seen any builds on here that had tong and grove joints. I was impressed. Good for you going the extra mile
