Box build for 18" Fi Q

Box is for a friend of TreyE, for an 18" Fi Q. Specs:

8.3 cubic feet

29hz tuning

98in^ of port

Exterior dimensions are 44 wide, 31 deep, 16 1/4 tall.

Heres what it will look like. Box is almost done, just need to paint the top port piece, cut the hole, and carpet it. Will be getting a light gray carpet.

Will have pics when I get back from Lowes as I have no service at my house to email to myself.

So far what Ive done. Gotta attach the top and cut the hole tonight. Then tomorrow he comes for me to wire the car and install it all. Should jam in an Explorer.

I figured the textured spray paint would look cool for the port. Change it up since almost every box you see is sprayed black in the port.

Box is done, gets carpeted and picked up tomorrow. Ill post pics tomorrow of the finished product.

I dont have packaging for them, so shipping would be so expensive. Just trying to sell them locally first.

Anyway, didnt get carpet today. Gotta carpet it tomorrow.

Tried carpeting it today with a dull POS box cutter. Bought some carpet, but it turns out it wasnt enough. I would have just carpeted it sideways and left the back bottom edge uncarpeted, but it wasnt wide enough. I just carpeted it normally, and used some other carpet that was left over and carpeted the top sides. The bottom sides are bare, but you wont see the sides at all since they will be up against the sides of the Explorer anyway. Besides that, it looks pretty good. Its alot of box for the money, most of which was spent on materials.
