Box Build: 2 cubes @ 32hz, eD 10", Plexiglass

You don't have any problems with airleaks doing just that?
Nope, never had an issue. The carpet will be between the glass and the actual mounting surface, so that creates a good seal. I use #8 wood screws every 4-6" as well.

Thanks for the info

Not trying to jack your thread but what would you reccomend as a good technique to seal the plexi as I have a 1" thick panel on one of my enclosure's I've been having problems with since day 1. It's not a cutout window but rather a straight side panel I mounth to the enclosure. I've already got wood screws in it every 4 inches with a bead of silicone in between the plex and mdf..... thanks for any help and as always nice work

Thanks for posting pics of your box builds. Its always a pleasure to see them. I like the detail to construction you do, like rabbiting in the panels and such. Great craftmanship.

Also, Thanks for the plexi tip. I too am in process of a plexi window and have been tossing ideas around on how to seal it as well. I did plan on the recess, then some thin foam tape tape to seal it, then screws and finnish washers.

great job....but doesn't that bottom lip behind the plexi need to be touched up with more paint...I can see bare mdf
Paint soaks into the edge of the MDF more than it does on the face. So it appears to have a slight color difference. Its painted though, I assure that.

In order to answer your question, I would need to know what model (e.g. SW4200, SW7524DVC). Also, are you looking to make a ported box or sealed?
