Bought some old school Pioneer subs and need help!!!

Okay got these for pretty cheap, and my buddy wants them, i know these subs get loud and low and dont need a lot of power. So i have a pair of 12's, they are single 4 ohms, so I will be wiring them into 2 ohms.

I need help on building a box, how big should it be, i was thinking of tuning around 32hz, but how many cubes? These are going in a 07' Tahoe, pretty much sub up/port rear. He is going with a Kicker 5 channel amp, so @ 2 ohms the subs will see around 220-240rms each. More than enough to get these babies wanging.

whats the model numbers? On pioneers website you can click "older models" and it gives you specs/features of everything they've made.

yeah thats for sealed, but how bout ported? then again usually when you feed subs more power, you can go smaller on a ported box iirc. does 3 cubes @ 32hz with say 30 sq in of port area?

I would do at least 2 cubes tuned to mid 30s with 14-16 sq. inches of port per cubic foot. This should get you in the ballpark at least.

keep the gain on the sub ch down a lil and should be fine though but i doubt that you will be able to run that much to them ported.

yeah i should have re-phrased it better, i will have that much to play with, but wont use it all. he wants to keep the 3rd row seat, so i am going to do some measurements to see if subs up/port rear works out. if not, maybe subs up/port sides?
