Bought a new car!! Starting Mods this week.

I had a TBird Super Coupe that was super fun
My brother had a 1993 that ended up getting stolen due to the upgrades in both the engine and sound system, but I believe he was doing 13s with not that much work, and alot of weight in the trunk...Those cars were awesome other then blowing head gaskets left and right. My other brother had a 85 Turbo coupe that was barely street legal doing high 12s, and they always had that Thunderbird rivalry going

Going in tomorrow for all new aluminum lower intake gaskets, supercharger gasket, s/c oil change, valve cover gaskets, 180 thermostat, coolant elbow, autolite 104 plugs, coolant flush and oil change. I'm debating wether to go with amsoil or mobil 1 hi mileage ) and I think that's it for now. He's charging me 500 which is worth it to me

Next step is ****** flush n filter with a intense shift kit and a new driver side axle.

After that is done. Fender well intake, PCM ( not sure if it's ZZP or intense yet ) and a 3.4 pulley.

I was gonna do rockers and headers but I'm thinking for this mild 50hp upgrade the stock rockers will be fine.

That GTP your friend has is impressive as all hell! Sounds like poo though, through video, maybe sounds better live, imo....

Looks killer as well.

Like I said before, very nice looking Bonnie, but not something I would do on a car that old, unless I did a restro up.....but to each their own, enjoy your newish ride!

Well Its loud on the vid, and at the track its obviously headers only.. But with the Full exhaust it sounds sick , low and rumbles like you wouldnt believe.. ppl at the show thought he had a cammed 454 in it lol

Also that GTP is a 97.. He bought it new, and has babied the shiiit out of it, Like Seriously the car gets like 20 miles a yr put on it.. He has a 2010 camaro ss with some$6000 vortech charger for the weekend car I guess, then a Camry for daily //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif .. We just had a car show up here , Ill post some pics if I find them

The bonnie will never look that good no matter what I do, nor will it be as fast, Or sound as good ( 4 sets of jl zr's I believe ) .. Im fawked in the whole competition part of it

Make sure you get that T-Stat drilled. Its an easy 20 minute replacement if you can save money and do it yourself. Buy the standard OEM 180* T Stat and drill it yourself and obviously install yourself. The neck is just in front of the throttle body and only has two nuts to take off.

Also save yourself a **** load of money on your intake if you do a custom one with Spectre parts.

Im not gonna do any intake work yet.. Just doing all aluminum gaskets to get everything on the motor sealed up again

180* Tstat

Coolant elbow

both LIM gaskets

sc gasket

valve cover gaskets

sc oil change

new plugs ( autolite 104 seems to be very common with modded 3800s )

All that is gonna cost me $500.. SO its a great deal for me considering I just dont have the time right now

AS for the Tstat, It was recommended that 2000+ bonnevilles "NOT" have them drilled , I cant remember the reason why but Ill try to find where I saw that

cars doing good.. All new gaskets, no leaks , so monday its getting HD axles , a ***** service/filter, and Intense racing shift kit.

Then the mods for the following week are

PCM

Fenderwell intake

180* stat

Autolite 104s

TB Spacer

ZZP 3.3 Modular Pulley setup

ZZP Stainless Coated Headers ( 1.75 primaries , 3" out )

TOG 3" Downpipe,

Custom 3" no cat, no res

CASE Learn

and a custom HP tuners tune if I can find anyone local

Only gauge Ill need for now is this

Aeroforce Technology Inc | Products - Interceptor Order

cant wait for this.. My credit card statement however..............

not bad for a bonneville? how about just driving the goddamn thing? and not sinkin a fortune in a $3500 car
oh you mean like how ppl dump $10k into a rusted POS $100 car for the sake of it being loud?

Or how ppl buy ugly wagon looking vehicles and then paint them hideous colors and watch them depreciate ??

Yea Dude WHY ppl have "hobbies" is beyond me

these **** to get loud though since they just have the ski-pass. My cousin wasn't even doing a 30 off a basic ported MB Quart RWE-302 and 600 watts..
lol mbquart.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I did a legal 133.4 with a single lvl 3 12 off 700 rms.. Not loud but alot better than factory bose garbage
