Bought a new car!! Starting Mods this week.

I drove the GTP I talked about up there ^ and a 99 Regal GS, and neither had the fun and excitement of my tbird. The GTP was way quicker, but being able to throw the *** end out at 35 in my t bird takes the cake for sure //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
Yea I could have bought a 96 ***** am in mint condition, with an auto and loaded for 5k but I just want something different.. Everyone knows muscle cars are fast, but who the hell would look twice at some 4 door bonneville?

Sure its cool to kick your car sideways and all, but is it still fun when you get smoked by a 4 door with 5 ppl in it?

stock , before all the gaskets get replaced on the hwy I was averaging 32.. in town , not to heavy on the foot, about 22
Like I said.. Even if I put 10K TOTAL into the car ( including the car with audio, motor, ******, axles, suspension, rims, tint, body work etc etc ) Ill at least have a fun , clean car to drive on the 10 nice days a year we get up here //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
Yeah dude Im not trying to put your car down, it looks nice. I had about 3k into my Tbird including cost of car, and it was fun as hell. Just had too many things wrong with it so I got rid of it. Do those GM M90 cars have the same head gasket problem as the Ford ones did?

Meh, I would bet my Tbird weighed more than your car honestly. And it would hold 5 people too. And you arent going to smoke a car by too much since they are powered by basically the same motor, just made by different companies...

AFAIK the 3800s have a LIM and upper coolant elbow issue.. they're all plastic and crack, then you get antifreeze everywhere and its a PITA... The coolant elbow is $5, but yet is a 5 hr job to rip the blower off as well as the entire right side of the motor ( waterpump, alt, etc )

Depending on how deep we get into replacing all the upper seals, I might do the Manifold and Head gaskets as well.. But my main concern right now is just getting the **** thing to hold coolant .. The temp never rises above 200 , but if I filled the reservoir and drove 30 minutes, it would be empty.. so its really coming out, even with the coolant cap loose to relieve some pressure.. But this needs to all get fixed while the oil is still clean and doesnt look like milk //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I blew the head gaskets on my Bird, which is why I ended up selling it. It also had a bad water pump and a few leaks.

throw a GNX in the mix and were all fucked
Fixed lol

But I just got an 08 Mazda 3 hatch, and although its a nice car, its not fast enough for me, so I will be buying a fox body this winter for a project car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif I am hoping to build it to run high 12s/low 13s, just to pick on the basically stock Eclipses/WRXs around here that think they are the shiit.

that is exactly why I want to build this car lol..

M90 powered? I had a TBird Super Coupe that was super fun. I am not convinced on those front wheel drive M90 cars though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif Takes all the fun away IMO.
You should be. I know a few people with L67's and some L36's that do low 13's all the way down to just under a 9 second 1/4 in a FWD car.

OP ZZP does great work. They are right down the road from my house. My Grand Prix along with the rest of the MIGPC was there on numerous occasions. They did my racing ****** in my GP GT. The 97-03's were notorious for having a weak 4th gear input shaft. If you take care of that engine you will get 300,000+ out of it. My car had 187K on the clock when I sold it for $2500 and the only issue I ever had was the 4th gear input shaft. Everything else was just general maintenance and going from OEM to aftermarket performance parts.

Also I like those KV5's on your buddies GP.

Not the same type of video you posted, but I have always found this video amusing... YouTube - Lingenfelter Corvette Vs. Eagle Talon TSI
Haha, Good vid right there //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif I cant stand the cocky rice kids.. Its ridiculous up here..

Almost didnt think it was a ricer vid, due to not hearing any excuses.. I think his passenger took the words right out of his mouth.. Drivers pride was beaten even worse

Yea man, its gonna be a couple thousand to get it all tuned up and actually ready to add mods, but once Im there It will be good times..

As for now I cant say what Im gonna do , because i dont know crap about the motor.. Thats when my buddy takes over , rips my car apart , and I stand there like a window licker without a clue //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

But as of now, Were just gonna get all the new gaskets on, maybe do a pully/intake/PCM mod but I wanna make sure the transmission is gonna be able to handle everything.. The shift kit, ***** flush, and Axles are a must right off the bat
