Bose Amp = Clipping???

Cousin has a 2001 Acura with stock bose amplifier. Anyone ever have a problem with Stock amplifiers and aftermarket installs???

He also has a LOC tied into the rear 6x9's (which i'm assuming are amplified by the stock bose amp)

and has already FRIED two subs from what i'm guessing is distortion and clipping.

The system also has Speaker pop issue... should this be fixed by adding RESISTORS or RELAY?

p.s. The the car has no room at all for an aftermarket radio so that's already out of the question.

there is space for an aftermarket radio no matter what and unless it is an RL there is a dash kit for an aftermarket radio...however the rl dash opening is not hard to copy at all...try grabbing signal on the input side of the factory amplifier to kill the turn on pop...you will have to take a meter and test to find the correct wires.... now these may be low level signal in which case you can just solder a set of rcas to those wires and run that directly to the amplifier
