Boomy Center Channel

Well I decided to throw a center channel together, but it turned out to be very boomy, and I was wondering if you guys could help me fix it.

the enclosure is home to a pair of Hertz Hi-energy components since I had them lying around. The box is about .9 cubic feet, sealed, and a decent ammount of bracing. 3/4" mdf throughout..

Any ideas?

at leas 75% full, it will have the effect of being a bigger box

maybe you need a better crossover... aren't comps meant to be in free-air applications

Start here. If this is too minimal of a change then make a much larger enclosure sealed with liberal amounts of poly. As stated, most car comps are meant to work without being loaded.
