amp problem

I have a MTX thunder 7804 4 channel amp powering my front and rear comps, and the past few days when i would turn up the volume maybe past 20 the amp seems like it loses power or something and shuts off leaving no voice. Ive had this setup for maybe 4 months now and never had this problem even when turning the volume up past 30 or even 40 at times. What could it be? Is the amp not receiving enough power or is this more of a wiring problem? Im still running my stock battery if that helps. Any advice is appreciated.

check the ground. sometimes they vibrate loose.and won't flow enough power to run the amp when ya get the volume up.also check for protection lights. sometimes you'll kill a tweeter or something thats hard to notice and it'll clip the amp into protect

I checked the wiring and everything seemed in place there, there is a light on the bottom of the amp that comes on everytime it goes out that says "short" what would that mean exactly is it short meaning not enough power is getting to it or short from the wiring? Ill go check everything out one more time later.

hmm that does sound like what seems to be the problem...What would be the proper solution to that? Is there any simple way to fix it or is rewiring the whole thing the only option? Because now anytime i raise the volume past 20 it cuts off so it must be something with the wires.
