BoogerMan's 12k Crossfire build in a 1998 Toyota T100 SR5

Funny to see, but great idea at the same time. It's gettin' close.....lookin' dam good too!!
Thanks man! We are getting close (sort of lol) and I’m getting very excited to hear it!

This all looks phenomenal. Good job all around.

Thank you! We appreciate that!

Started wiring up the front to back runs tonight. One run of 4/0 per alt. 12 feet long each. Just need to cut up the floor to run the wires into the cab. Should have more pics of stuff by the end of today [emoji4]

Zip Tie Wire Organizer Method I used

Used the big boy 24” zip ties to go around my frame. Did one about every 12” so the wires are snug against the frame [emoji4]

Keep it up. Solid build man
Thanks man!

Box is pretty much finished and loaded up. Just need to run the wires from the outside terminals into the cab and make the first removable port.

Used some 1/4” closed cell foam I can get locally to seal the lid while allowing it to still be removable. The problem is, it didn’t compress as much as expected so there is about a 1/8” gap between the lid and side walls. It is still 100% sealed so air won’t flow into the sealed chamber from the ported chamber, but it’s bothering the hell out of my buddy who built the box. I kind of like it because it looks like the lid is floating and the black lip adds another nice accent to the white box. We might order some 1/8” ccf online and redo it in the future but I think I’ll leave it for now. We used 80 grk screws to hold the lid down so I really don’t want to remove all them right now lol.

Here is the gap. Wiring turned out really clean at least. These are the only places in the box that you can see wires [emoji4]

The reflection from the finish is incredible. I love being able to see the reflection of the subs and braces on the floor and lid.

Used some 1/2” 13 ply Baltic birch under the bed to distribute the force of the 3/4” bolts we used to secure the box down.

Cut out a hole near the rear corner of the cab. Wrapped the edges with split vinyl tubing then added lots of silicone.

Got the rear frame grounds done and the alt wires ran into the cab. Used 5/16” bolts to secure the lugs.

So **** clean, great job. What did you use to seal off the plexiglass?
Thanks! In that pic we didn’t have it sealed with anything. Just mounted. It is now sealed up with some 1/16” peel n stick ensolite foam. Got it online a long time ago. Should do the trick but we will see once it starts playing.

My goodness that box looks lovely..

Thank you! It took forever but I’m glad it paid off.

A few more updates. Trying to get this playing by April 1st now.

Rear floor started. I was originally just going to keep everything square, but my buddy convinced me we should mess with kerfing. I think he did pretty good for his first try lol.

This is the main floor that goes directly in front of the port. It will hold a 4K amp and the base for the two side walls which will hold the two other 4K amps. Went with a wider bend kerf on this piece.

Test fit was a success. We just need to shim a few spot near the back with some 3/4” and bolt it through the floor.

Battery rack and fuse block holder. Went with a tighter bend kerf.

Got the two pieces attached together and test fitted. I’m digging the double kerf. Adds another nice little subtle difference to the build that you don’t see everyday.

Did a little mock up of the battery and fuse block layout in thinking about. Also going to put the amp at an angle to help make it more visible being behind the battery. There will be a cutout to show the limitless logo on the front of the battery and a cutout to show the largest fuse block.

OH I need to go reread apparently, must be stacking them
Yep there will be 3 of the “4ks” wired at 0.5 ohm. 1 per pair of subs. They do around 5500w at 14.4v I believe so should be good amount of power [emoji4]

Can’t stack them all in front of the port as that would block it too much. So I’m thinking one will go in front of the port as seen in the pics above then one on each of the side walls that will be built on each side of the battery rack (where the small pieces of 2x4s can be seen).

Making a little more progress.

Wired up the terminals on the outside of the box (connected pairs of subs at these terminals). Still need to run the wires into the cab but ran out of 8 awg. Got more on the way for next week.

Started messing with my rca box location. I want it hidden and as far away from any power wires as possible so I somehow managed to fit it below the deck.

04c0536ba1cb96f360f439564c7153c3.jpg

However, the lower dash piece that covers this area would no longer fit. So I decided to cut out my change holder since I won’t be using it and the center console will cover it up anyways. Fits like a glove now!

Got the remote wire from the deck temporarily connected to a relay to turn on the 4K amps and one 800.4 amp for the time being. I know it’s a mess but i don’t want to install my full relay/fuse panel until the center console is started. I also have to mock up some cardboard templates for the rear walls and rear window before Saturday so we can try and get those started! I got a flexible curve in today though so that should help a lot with making the cardboard templates! So much to do in such little time!

Sealed up the hole in the floor with silicone where the 4/0 comes into the cab. Should be water tight now.

You're getting close man! Happy to see someone taking their time even in the end stages though - that's where it seems like most people rush and shove it together

Continually impressed.
Can't remember...what's your goal number?
Thanks man!

Don’t really have a specific one. Maybe a 156-158 in the kick if I were to guess. I’m in extreme class so I’ll get my *** kicked either way lol. I just want to demo all day so that’s what we built the box to do. I’m wiring up my rca bass knob to be long enough to go outside the driver side window so 2 people can get a demo at a time and I’ll just stand outside the truck //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
